Festivals and Events
Cedar City isn’t called Festival City USA for nothing. Cedar is famous for its abundance of different events and festivals that bring people together and celebrate the spirit of Cedar and the history and culture surrounding it.
Utah Shakespeare Festival – a Tony Award-winning festival put on by Southern Utah University presenting classic and contemporary plays based on Shakespeare’s works.
Utah Summer Games – Olympic-style amateur sports with an average total of over 9,000 participants, 50,000 spectators, and 1,000 volunteers that attend yearly.
July Jamboree – an annual two-day car show that takes place on main street with food and live music.
Groovefest – a week long music festival in the public park with free live music, food, art, and gift vendors that brings in large crowds every year.
Tour of Utah – a week long, professional cycling race featuring some of the most prestigious teams and cyclists that follows the Tour de France and passes through Cedar City.
