Often referred to as the "Festival City," Cedar City, Utah is home to Southern Utah University and the Utah Shakespearean Festival.  We're also only minutes away from Zion National Park, Cedar Breaks, Bryce Canyon, and Brian Head Ski Resort.

Settlement of cedar city began on November 11, 1851. Cedar city was settled to establish an iron works. The actual settlement site was on the north bank of Coal Creek.
